Your child should be free to explore their environment in order to enhance their learning experience.  Their day should be a balance of teacher led and child led activities.  Teacher led activities should incorporate the interests of the children involved and be developmentally appropriate for each age group.  Child led activities should be structured so that there is very little adult intervention needed, and children are free to explore and learn at their own pace in a developmentally appropriate setting.
