The philosophy at Building Blocks Family Daycare is that each child is entitled to a healthy, safe,  developmentally appropriate environment in which to grow and thrive.  Children learn best by doing, and it is our firm belief that a creative, hands-on, play-based preschool and childcare environment brings out the best in children.  Children should be surrounded with a visceral, energetic, engaging and fun environment in order to bring out their natural curiosity.  Each day children should be provided with long periods of playtime in a stimulating, safe, healthy and engaging environment with exciting materials which promote problem solving, social interaction, curiosity and wonder.  Childhood is fleeting, it should be a magical time in which children are allowed to be themselves while learning about the world around them.  Children should have the freedom to explore the environment with few restrictions.  We make this possible by controlling the environment, not the children.  Your child will develop a life long love of learning by being provided with daily opportunities to create, move, sing, discuss, observe, read and play.  The magic of childhood is alive and well at Building Blocks Family Daycare.  Together with our families, we are building the future, one child at a time!
