Play is the way young children learn.  They learn through play and exploration of the world around them.  Their  environment should be open, inviting, curious, and full of wonder to maximize their learning experience.  Please seek out a program which encourages a child's natural curiosity, invites them to participate in hands on activities for learning, and respects that childhood is a wonderful time of growing and learning.  You do not want a program which requires long periods of sitting and doing table work, as this is not developmentally appropriate for young children.  They need to be able to use their hands, their minds, their bodies, and their imaginations to learn all about the world around them!
